Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Accountant at InBody Oceania. Part time will be considered. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks such as maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This is an on-site role located in Southport, QLD.
You will be reporting to our Headquarter's Finance Team and InBody Oceania's Operations Manager. You will be responsible for a diverse range of management accounting activities including the management of our books, invoicing, and payroll.
The Responsibilities:
- Assist the HQ Finance Team to prepare the weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports
- Manage the payroll and accurately maintain all employee records and data
- Assist in preparation of contractor and employment contracts
- Reconcile PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax as per legislative requirements
- Provide assistance with accounts payable processing
- Invoicing
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register, prepayments and other schedules
- Prepare stock entries and assist with stocktakes
- Assist with the preparation of month end journal entries
- Identify and assist with implementing process improvements
- Provide adhoc reports and assist with projects as required
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A degree in Accounting discipline
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Studying towards or completed CPA or CA
- Proficiency in MYOB and EXCEL and other MS Office programs at an intermediate level (Zoho Books would be a plus)
- A high level of attention to detail combined with excellent time management skills
- A commitment to quality and compliance in reporting and all accounting processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to take a proactive approach to all tasks
