Tasks & responsibilities
Cooking and preparing dishes and ingredients as per company specifications.
Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures during the kitchen operation. Ensuring high quality of dishes is maintained.
Managing BOH and Cost of Goods. Stock rotation and stock ordering.
Developing and reviewing the menus.
Training staff as required by demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
Assisting in all sections of the kitchen when required during service to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications & experience
Have 3 years or above Japanese cuisine experience working in a high volume fast paced kitchen
Previous experience in Japanese cuisine and/or sushi techniques preferred.
Be flexible and reliable with availability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
Outstanding management skills. Good knowledge of managing BOH and Cost of Goods.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
A positive approach to other team members.
Have a great attitude and work ethic.
Wok Cooking experience preferred.
Annual Salary starting from $75000 + Super + KPI Incentives
